May 14, 2014 Law Enforcement Memorial Service - First time in history all women have held guard at the memorial.
The Minnesota Association of Women Police exists to ensure the equality for women in the Criminal Justice field. We strive to achieve this mission by utilizing, investing, and celebrating the individual strengths, talents, and skills of our members. The MAWP is an affiliate of the International Association of Women Police (IAWP) which includes members worldwide.
MAWP originated in 1955 as a non-profit, incorporated organization devoted to further the education and training of women police and to encourage professionalism in law enforcement. It is governed by a Constitution and managed by a Board of Directors selected by the membership.
